I am doing a one tier, finger tip size veil.
I bought 1 1/2 yards of tulle. Folded it in half and then cut it how I wanted it. |
I then used nylon thread to gather the top of the tulle.
(Forgot to take a picture) I recommend using extra thread. Then I hot glued it onto the comb. Using little glue. Pay attention to what side you glue it to. |
After I glued it to the comb, I used the extra thread (still attached) to sew around the comb and in between the teeth.
|
When I was done with all that..
I hot glued a ribbon around the top so it would look nice. I designed it so that the tulle will flip over the comb. So you will never see the comb any way. |
After I attached the comb, I tried it on to see the length. It was too long. Had to cut it again. No Biggie.
It still might be a little long, but I would rather it be too long than too short.

I want bead work all the way around. So I practiced my design on the tulle I cut off. This is what I decided to go with. In my practice, I also learned that you have to be very careful, it rips really easy! And not to get too close to the edge.

My design is not the quickest! This is a picture of my 4 hours of work. I have a long way to go.
